what I suggest is like AWG said, party balance. this whole game will be centered around relearning the rules. so I suggest no paladins or abnormal classes and keep alignments close to neutral so we don't have player conflicts of extreme proportions, I.E. Lawful good paladin with a chaotic evil assassin in the group would be a BAD idea. We should all get in a steam chat and organize this.

We are pretty much set on 3.5, however I just wanted to share another alternative effectively 3.75. http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG
Its a free download but for those who just want it at a glance here is a video review.

Lmao! Reality check fail!
@ 19: I actually think the alignment system is a huge abstraction of real morality and not a good representation of how personalities work irl. You and I basically have Lawful Good Paladin/ Chaotic Evil Assassin personalities, and we get along great, lol. (We're a lot closer to neutral probably, but whatev).
Does anyone remember which arcane caster is better on low levels? I think it was the sorcerer. Oh yeah, are we playing long term characters or not?

Well I was using extremes to stress my point, you have no idea how many arguments I've been in over alignments.
I got a lot of books in PDF form as well. if we actually make it too prestige sure. plan for long term cause i think we could pull it off.

I dont think so from what I know each nationality drinks just as much as the other. So he can be a scotish/irsish drunk so i see no difference

English vs. Irish vs. Scottish
The Englishman's wife steps up to the tee and, as she bends over to place her ball, a gust of wind blows her skirt up and reveals her lack of underwear. Good God, woman! Why aren't you wearing any knickers?" her husband demanded. Well, you don't give me enough housekeeping money to afford any." The Englishman immediately reaches into his pocket and says, "For the sake of decency, here's £50. Go and buy yourself some underwear."
Next, the Irishman's wife bends over to set her ball on the tee. Her skirt also blows up to show that she, too, is wearing no undies. Blessed Virgin Mary, woman! You've no knickers. Why not?" She replies, "I can't afford any on the money you give me." He reaches into his pocket and says, "For the sake of decency, here's £20. Go and buy yourself some underwear!"
Lastly, the Scotsman's wife bends over. The wind also takes her skirt over her head to reveal that she, too, is naked under it. Sweet mudder of Jaysus, Aggie! Where the frig are yer drawers?" She too explains, "You dinna give me enough money ta be able ta affarrd any." The Scotsman reaches into his pocket and says, "Well, fer the love 'o decency, here's a comb..... Tidy yerself up a bit

Question: What did you guys mean by "base stats" exactly? Does that mean everyone has a bonus modifier of +/- 0 on the six ability scores? Also, I was considering making my cleric a crafter/ potion brewer/ whatever. Is crafting going to be cost effective/ useful in this campaign? Or even an option?

I was kinda thinking how the role of rogue just got pushed onto me by 19 saying ''you're the rogue''... I dont care though, Rogues are awesome. Most of my characters I have played D&D with were Rogues, and the biggest mistake I once made was (was it my first?) to give it almost no con, thinking ''Well, he sneaks, he is not suposed to actually fight, right?''
