Okay guys, I think someone took my Steam account somehow. I tried my usual password; didn't work. Tried to change the password, but the guy must have changed the secret question on me. It looks like some shitty Spanish for "Which is your favorite team?"

I'm not as fail as my kid brother, so I haven't given my password to ANYONE. Not even Yusef, my magical unicorn familiar.

Right now I'm trying to find the CD-key that I got with the box from GameStop (yes, lol gutted game boxes, I don't need to hear it). If that doesn't work out, a credit card was used to buy L4D, is that enough information for them?

So, has this ever happened to anyone else? Any advice? Is there some way for me to stop it from happening again?

I would like to get this resolved so I can get my Dr. Nurse fix, she doesn't come on the forum or Skype all that often...

Oh yeah, and I guess it wouldn't be all that great to lose the well over $50 worth of kickass games I had, especially before the double class update.

Try steam's account recovery, as long as you got the card number used to buy any of your games you can get it back.

Any one? That's good. I already did this, but they weren't clear on exactly how much info was needed to get back the account.

Some times they respond within the day. Sometimes within the week. You never know.

Hmm... I think he probably did buy it from someone else, which would explain why he displays personal information. Guy might not have known he was stealing. I kind of wish I could talk to him so I could explain what happened, but I doubt he would comply.

HAHAHA! Remember how I said I'm not as fail as my kid brother? Well, that's 'cause he lost his account and games by giving his password to someone posing as Steam. He hasn't even tried to get it back, and it's been a few months now. He's kinda touchy about it and claims that the same guy tricked half of Steam, I know that's bullcrap because half of Steam accounts are offline 24/7, and the other half are people like us.

-Actually, while we're on this subject, do you guys know if waiting several months makes it harder to get back an account? He may have failed pretty hard here, but I still want to be able to play him when I go to college.

Meh i did it right away, but if you provide the proof they want (Cd key with steam written above it, or credit card number) they should give it back.

You know, come to think of it, now that we know he's Brazilian, maybe we could guess the answer to his secret question. My guess is it's some kind of soccer, being the spic he is... Any other ideas?
